Shaw University’s Journey to Campus Safety with Regroup

Shaw University, founded in 1865, is the first Historically Black College and University in the Southern United States. For over 150 years, the University has been a leader in providing higher education to underserved students, from creating the first African American medical, law, and pharmacy schools to playing a key role in the Civil Rights Movement.

To continue this legacy, Shaw University launched BearsALERT, powered by Regroup Mass Notification, to keep everyone safe and in the know. Before this, it struggled to find a reliable and easy-to-use system that could integrate with its campus operations and meet Clery Act safety requirements.
