The City of Lebanon will be flushing water mains (weather permitting) through City hydrants to maintain water quality in the distribution system between the hours of 3AM to 3PM  beginning Monday, April 12, 2021.

Residents and businesses in the general area of affected streets should check their water before using. The current schedule of streets being flushed can be found at LebanonNH.gov/Flushing.

The flushing schedule is generally updated each Friday afternoon or Monday morning until all City water mains have been flushed. Typically, this process takes about three weeks to complete depending on weather conditions and other unanticipated factors.

When the City is “flushing” the water lines you may see a fire hydrant wide-open allowing water to flow down the street. This process moves water through the pipelines at a fast enough rate to clean the lines, clear stagnant water, and ensure the water the City delivers to your home is of the highest quality. For more information, please see: Why do we flush hydrants?

Residents and businesses in the general flushing area(s) should check their water before using. If the water is discolored or dirty, let the cold-water taps run for a few minutes and the water should clear up.
