BURN BAN UPDATE

(Kirksville, MO)  Due to exceptionally dry conditions and elevated fire danger, outdoor burning is prohibited within the city limits of Kirksville until further notice.

Additionally, the Public Works Department is closely monitoring the water source lakes – Forest Lake and Hazel Creek Lake – to ensure ample water is available for all users. At this time, the City has plenty of water available. If, in the future, it is determined that the City must implement a water conservation program, citizens will be notified well in advance.

We will keep the public informed when conditions improve; until then, we appreciate citizens’ diligence in ensuring the safety of our community. For more information please contact the Kirksville Fire Department at 660.665.3734.
