KPD arrests male for serious physical injury assault

(Kirksville, MO) — The Kirksville Police Department was dispatched to the 200 block of east Scott St. in regards to a female that had been seriously assaulted with a weapon by her husband. Officers arrived on scene and found a female in the street suffering from serious physical injuries. With the help of witnesses officers were able to arrest Alidor Masingo (35 of Kirksville). The female was flown to The University of Columbia with life threatening injuries. Masingo is being held on a 24 hour hold at the Adair County Detention Center pending formal charges.

KPD was assisted by The Missouri State Highway Patrol, The Adair County Sheriff’s Office, and Truman Department of Public Safety.
