Southern Oregon University , Public Updates

You are receiving this email about a new COVID-19 case within the SOU community because you signed up to receive notifications about the pandemic. SOU is committed to providing accurate, timely information as we work together through these challenging times.

July 15, 2020: Two COVID-19 cases

  • One SOU student from Jackson County but not currently studying on campus determined to be a positive COVID-19 case
  • One SOU employee working at the Ashland campus determined to be a positive COVID-19 case

Anytime an SOU student or employee is confirmed to have COVID-19, those who may have been exposed to that person will be contacted promptly by health authorities and the university’s Human Resources staff. Those who are not contacted may assume they were not exposed.

Please remember that the consistent use of face coverings, attention to social distancing guidelines and regular hand-washing are the most effective measures to keep our campus community safe and help slow the overall spread of this pandemic.
