Regroup Mass Notification Becomes NOAA Weather-Ready Nation Ambassador

November 5, 2019Emi Gonzalez

Regroup Mass Notification, the award-winning provider of emergency and day-to-day mass communication technology, today announced its official recognition as a Weather-Ready Nation (WRN) Ambassador by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration. Regroup became a NOAA partner after demonstrating continued commitment to strengthening national extreme-weather resilience.

The Weather-Ready Nation Ambassador initiative recognizes NOAA partners who are improving the nation’s readiness, responsiveness, and overall resilience against extreme weather, water and climate events. As a WRN Ambassador, Regroup is committed to working with NOAA and other ambassadors to strengthen national resilience against extreme weather throughout the United States. According to NOAA: “WRN Ambassadors serve a pivotal role in affecting societal change — helping to build a nation that is ready, responsive, and resilient to the impacts of extreme weather and water events.”

Regroup is used every day by organizations across the nation to enhance public safety, prevent financial loss, streamline communication and maintain operational continuity during various critical events, including extreme weather. Regroup is a nationally recognized mass notification platform that offers integrations with many federal programs including FEMA’s IPAWS system, ShakeAlert early earthquake warnings from the U.S. Geological Survey, and weather alerts from NOAA and the National Weather Service to support an informed and weather-ready nation. Additional resources to help organizations prepare for natural and man-made disasters are available on Regroup’s website.

“We understand that having the right tools in place can save lives,” said Chris Utah, COO of Regroup. “When it comes to the immediacy of weather events and emergencies, this becomes all the more clear. Joining the NOAA Weather-Ready Nation Ambassadors is part of our dedication to using our platform to reach people with critical information when they need it most.”
